How has your membership in The Chapel Designers Organization affected your business? The other florists in the Chapel Designers Organization are the nicest, most supportive friends I've found in the wedding industry. They are willing to drop everything to answer questions on mechanics, pricing, and business ethics at a moments notice. In the past six months as a Chapel Designer, I've learned how to run my business smarter, how to create floral installations that I had no idea how to do before, and how to better serve my wonderful couples by offering them amazing designs and beautiful weddings at a fair price. I feel more confident as a floral designer, as a small business owner, as a mom, and as a wife now that I have the support of our close knit group of peers.

What do you enjoy most about being a Chapel Designer? Our chatter on the Facebook group! Even though we all live around the world, have different aesthetics, and operate different businesses, we have a commonality on that Facebook group that keeps me sane. Holly is always a phone call away, which to me, is so valuable! I've looked up to her work for years and to be able to call her anytime when I'm in a pickle is such a blessing.

What are your hopes and dreams for the future of your business? I'm opening an online prop shop in the Fall to be able to serve couples that aren't able to invest in my full event design service. I'm so excited for the products in the shop to help couples design and decorate their own weddings with a colorful, modern, hip aesthetic that my company is known for. It will be a combination of my years as a textile designer in the fashion industry and the past five years as a sought after wedding designer. My dream is to build this business to be a resource for creative couples to intentionally choose decor and flowers for their weddings that showcase their personal tastes. I want to create an online space where people can be excited about color, inspired by modern decor, and feel safe to have the unconventional wedding they've always wanted.
